THE MODBUG BUILD

Lightweight, composite-structured, and built for value

What Sets Our Build Apart

At Modern Buggy RV, or ModBug as we call it, every camper is built to last a lifetime. That means more memories outdoors and less worry about wear and tear. We are based in the small town of Edwardsburg, Michigan, just minutes from the RV capital of the world, Elkhart, Indiana. This gives you the benefit of hometown customer service combined with world-class RV building experience.

Our build focuses on using advanced, lightweight, and wood-free composite materials that work together to make our durable, waterproof, and low-maintenance campers stronger and easier to care for. From the seamless fiberglass roof, walls, and ceiling to the tough composite flooring and the precision-welded steel frame, every component is carefully selected to create the perfect lightweight travel trailer.

ModBug campers are tough enough for the roughest off-road adventures yet compact and easy to tow. They are ideal for anyone looking for a durable all-season RV built to handle whatever the road throws their way.

AZDEL Composite

At Modern Buggy RV, we use AZDEL composite panels instead of traditional wood. Made from polypropylene and fiberglass, AZDEL offers superior strength, moisture resistance, and insulation. This helps keep our campers lightweight, durable, and protected against rot and mold.

steel Framing

Our internal framing is built entirely from steel, not wood, because this metal provides exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and superior long-term durability.

One-Piece Fiberglass

Our ceiling, roof, and walls are made from a molded, one-piece fiberglass shell. This design greatly reduces the number of seams compared to conventional RVs. Fewer joints mean fewer chances for leaks, better overall protection, and a cleaner look.
